Rick Regamble - Owner / Expert Dog Trainer
Rick has been working with dogs since 1983. During this time, he and his wife Karon have developed Willowwind Kennels into a wonderful environment to train successful dogs. When you meet Rick, you can see that his ability to handle and train dogs is second to none. His hands on experience over the past 30 years has helped turn him into a very well recognized, and highly recommended trainer. His specialty resides in Retrievers, but he can apply his knowledge to any breed.
Rick has developed many dogs into champions that have gone on to be nationally recognized and awarded! Some of these awards include:
- 8 Field Trial Champions
- 6 Amateur Field Trial Champions
- 2 dogs that received the honour of Top Junior Dog in Canada
- 2 dogs that received the honour of Top Qualifying Dog in Canada
- Many Open National and Amateur Finalists
- Many WC and HUNT Test Titles
- 2 Grand Master Hunters
He is also an avid contributing member to the retriever community. He belongs to many associations in BC including:
- Current Vice President of the BC Association of Retriever Clubs
- Representative for the Interior Region of the BC Association of Retriever Clubs
- President of the Okanagan Retriever Club
- Founder and lifetime member of the BC Labrador Retriever Club
- Longest sitting director for the CKC Retriever Council
Rick has been an avid dog owner all of his life, and his passions shows. He has helped mould many dogs into the very well-trained champions and companions we love.
